Avocado Date Shake

This shake celebrates two of California’s brightest stars: avocados and dates. Date shakes are a must-order in California’s Coachella Valley. The blend of dates, vanilla ice cream, milk, and sometimes bananas is so creamy and so sweet. This rendition trades all the dairy for avocado and banana for an ultra-fluffy shake that’s not too sweet and really lets the caramelly dates shine.
Makes 2 smoothies
1 cup full-fat or non-dairy milk
1 ripe banana
1 ripe Primavera avocado, pitted
6 Medjool dates, pitted
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup ice cubes
1.In a blender, combine the milk, banana, avocado, dates, and vanilla. Blend on high until smooth. Add the ice and blend until smooth.
