What happens after my order is placed? 

Place your order by Sunday at 8 pm PDT to receive the following week’s shipment; avocados are picked and shipped every Monday. You will receive tracking info after your avocados are shipped. Expect to receive your delivery at the end of the week. 

Why are your avocados only available for a limited time? 

Like most fruits, California avocados are seasonal. We pick and ship our fruit only when they’re in season and at their peak, instead of holding them in cold storage. 

When do you anticipate the 2024 season ending? 

We are hoping to ship through August 2024.  The weather will have the final say on when the season ends.  Things like temperature and rainfall impact how and when our avocados mature. 

How do I know when my avocados are ripe?

They will have a dark purplish/black hue and have a little give when gently pressed in the palm of your hand. Please check our Ripening Guide for more detailed information.

What purchasing options are available? 

Our boxes come with 7-10 avocados, about 4 pounds in all. You can order once, start a subscription, or gift a box.  

What happens to my subscription when the avocado season is over in July or August? 

Each subscription will be paused after the avocado season ends and be reactivated prior to the beginning of the new season in March. You’ll receive a reminder email before we reactivate your account, and you’ll also be able to edit your subscription at any time.

Do you offer refunds or returns? 

We believe you’ll love our avocados and we take every precaution to ensure they’ll arrive in great condition. We’ll gladly refund or replace any fruit that isn’t up to our standards upon receipt.

Gifting a box? 

We’ve made it easy for you to gift your subscription to family and friends; look for the option at checkout or in your account. 

Need to pause your subscription? 

We offer flexible subscriptions that allow you to skip a shipment. You also have the option to gift a week’s subscription. 

Need to cancel your subscription? 

We’ll be sad to see you go, but you can do this by logging into your account and clicking the appropriate box.

When will I get my avocados?

Average shipping times are 3-4 days through UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Expect to receive your delivery at the end of the week. 

When will I be billed for my subscription?

You’ll be charged on Mondays at 8 pm PDT after your avocados are picked and packed. 

Do you ship outside the U.S.?

Currently, we only ship within the contiguous United States. 

Is your packaging sustainable? 

We strive to be as eco-conscious as we can. Our boxes are made from 100% recycled material that is 95% post-consumer waste. Our filler is 100% natural and biodegradable.
